Rotating Field — RFTC Series RFTC Engaged
Operation (click to enlarge) RFTC Disengaged
Description

This rotating field tooth clutch is designed to operate both dry and in oil. No bearings are used. Current is supplied to the magnet body coil through an electrical brush and slip ring. (Grounding is accomplished internally through the magnet body to the machine shaft.) Many options are available.

Specifications
  • 3.1″ to 9.7″ diameter; 1.4″ to 4.75” length
  • Bore sizes from 0.8″ to 2.7″
  • Static torque from 40 to 5200 lb-ft
  • 2500 to 89000 RPM max speed
  • Operates both dry and in oil
  • Modified designs and customized assemblies available
Stationary Field — SFTC Series SFTC Engaged
Operation (click to enlarge) SFTC Disengaged
Description

Stationary Field Tooth Clutches operate both dry and in oil. Sealed bearings are permanently lubricated eliminating the need for grease fittings and maintenance.

Specifications
  • 3 to 10.5” diameter; 2 to 7.5” length
  • Bore sizes from 0.5 to 4.25”
  • Static torque from 40 to 5200 lb-ft
  • 1400 to 3500 RPM
  • Operates both dry and in oil
  • Modified designs and customized assemblies available
Clutch Coupling — STCC Series STCC Engaged
Operation (click to enlarge) STCC Disengaged
Description

Stationary Field Tooth Clutch Couplings integrate an SFTC clutch with a factory aligned sleeve and output hub for a prefabricated “mount and run” solution. The STCC design dramatically simplifies application design complexity and reduces installation time.

Specifications
  • 4.5″ to 10.6″ diameter; 3.8″ to 8.6” length
  • Bore sizes from 0.8″ to 2.9″
  • Static torque from 160 to 5200 lb-ft
  • 2500 to 5200 RPM max speed
  • Operates both dry and in oil
  • Modified designs and customized assemblies available
Wall Mount — WMTC Series WMTC Engaged
Operation (click to enlarge) WMTC Disengaged
Description

Wall Mount Tooth Clutches are a stationary field design with comparable performance to SFTC models, except they eliminate the use of bearings — making them ideally suited for high speed applications above 3600 RPM.

Specifications
  • 3 to 10.5” diameter; 2 to 6.25” length
  • Bore sizes from 0.5 to 4.25”
  • Static torque from 40 to 5200 lb-ft
  • 2500 to 8000 RPM max speed
  • Operates both dry and in oil
  • Modified designs and customized assemblies available
